Replaced my tech 10s with the Sg22s. By far the best boot I’ve had right out of the box and the option for half sizes is nice. Atomic moto was a great company to deal with and I will be making my next purchase with them.
This is my first pair of motocross boots so this review is strictly regarding fit. I typically wear 8 1/2 wide shoes/boots. I’d say my left foot is E and my right foot is EEE. I have a pair of TCX street boots size 42 and a pair of Forma Adventure boots size 42, both fit fine. I first tried Alpine Stars Tech 7 size 9, not wide enough, actually hurt my right foot at the joint at the base of my pinky toe (no bunion). Next tried Gaerne SG-12 size 9, wide enough but had a pressure point just above my ankle on the inside of right leg. Didn’t want to take a chance on that breaking in so returned them. Then tried Leatt 4.5 Enduro size 9, wider than the Tech 7’s but not wide enough. These were all purchased and returned from another company. I then called Atomic Moto and spoke with Brian. He recommended three boots. I tried the Forma Predator 2.0 Enduro size 43/9, still too tight on right foot. Returned those for the Gaerne SG-22 size 9 and they fit perfect no pressure point. Brian really knows his boots, highly recommend calling him first if you are undecided or need help.
I normally wear a 10.5 M shoe and the 10 boots fit me fine. Shipping was fast. I am pleased.
You get what you pay for. We ended up in muddy and wet conditions. I actually put my foot down in about 3 foot of water, and my foot stayed dry. I did have an over the boot pants, and it was only for a second, but my thigh was damp, and my feet were dry. They are comfortable on and off the bike, and I never slipped even when we pulled my buddies bike out of the mud. Didn't have any get offs to test that aspect, but I did kick some rocks and roots. Also broke branches with my shins. I am 100% happy with these.
These boots are awesome. I can only put one on at the moment, recovering from Achilles rupture. After having 1 boot on I am thinking that I wouldn’t have had the injury with them. So much protection, feel so good. They are expensive, but consider the alternative (Achilles rupture). I also want to thank Brian. Guy reached out to me 2x. Awesome company to do business with. If you guys have the product, you have a customer.
Love them; need size 10, ordered 9; run slightly smaller. Was told I couldn’t return them, but not sure why…
Boots are awesome. Confidence inspiring. It is taking some adjustment for shifting and rear braking but not a big deal. Taking a bit for break-in but better every time I put them on. Brian’s advice was spot for me. I am no pro but with these boots I feel much more connected to the bike! Best price I found and arrive on time as promised.
I bought these boots because they are real leather with a stitched on sole . I bought them from atomic moto because I bought a set from them several years ago and had a good experience. With this pair Brian really work with me over the phone with photos and video of my foot . In an effort to get the correct size the first time. From just trying these on he did it. I'd like to ride with them but that just has not happened yet. They look great and feel good walking around the house.
It was a pleasure purchasing these from Atomic moto. Great boots, great advice and great price.
I'm a hardcore Astars guy. I was looking for a better ventilated Tech 7 replacement and found Atomic Moto over on ADV Rider and then YouTube. I couldn't find a bad word about A.M. or Brian.
After a good phone call to discuss my sizing issue with the Tech 7, Brian had a pair of these on the way. My first ride was 200 mile off-road trip, and I never missed the trusty Tech 7 once. This was a fantastic swap, and it's absolutely a better, more technical, and more comfortable boot.
