  • Features the new revolutionary Dual Stage Pivot System
  • The first pivot is attached to the boot, providing a rigid component that offers a strong lateral support while a glide-plate keeps the upper in a firm and upright position. The second pivot is fixed on a sliding glide that allows the riders foot to feel natural while on the peg in a shifting or breaking position.
  • The new Heel Cup absorbs shock in case of a rear compression.
  • Toe-Box features a slimmer shape in the toe area for better feel of the shift and brake lever.
  • Improved inner grip guard for abrasion resistance
  • Interior lining is made up of the Gaerne Memory Cell Foam, known for the most comfortable feel and fit.
  • All new rubber Grip Guard helps grip of the bike and offers heat resistant padding against your inner leg.
  • Thermoplastic shin plate is anatomically shaped for a perfect fit, and accommodates the rider by allowing a wider opening for a larger leg or knee-brace.
  • The SG-12 Buckle System utilizes four lightweight alloy buckles that attach to an adjustable strap, providing an easy-in and easy-out non failure system.
  • Boot is constructed of an all new Swiss breathable fabric called Acronos. It allows the gaiter to be extremely stretchy but hold the perfect shape, keeping   sand and debris out.
  • Toe-Cap has been redesigned and reinforced giving it a new look.
  • Sole is made up of the Gaerne Dual Composite anti-shock rubber, but has a whole new look.
  • An all new foot-bed has been designed and molded to correctly support the foot.
  • A new shock absorbing material has been used for the rear of the foot-bed and the front portion has been designed to allow the foot to vent.

Got these to replace Sidi Adv 2. The added protection can be seen and felt upon taking them out of the box and even more so when putting them on. The memory foam that firmly encases the ankle combined with the solid outer boot and hinge should keep the ankle as safe as possible. The stiff sole and firm but low-profile toe box will keep the foot from getting smashed. Despite having the feel of a ski boot, the SG-12 is absolutely walkable.
Should have bought them to begin with instead of seeking a compromise in the Sidi Adv 2.
I’m a 10 1/2 US in running shoes and 11 fit perfectly in both the SG-12 and Adv 2.

Best in the industry

While dealing with Brian on this purchase it became obvious I was dealing with a highly knowledgeable, old school motorcycle guy. It reminded me of the guys I would talk with 30 years ago who knew the products, all the products. Tell him what you want and he'll tell you what you need. And it will likely be just that. There's value in this service. The SG12's are a heavy duty boot. To the point I was asking myself " do I need this much protection?" After breaking my leg at the ankle waring my old boots the answer was clearly yes. There are going to take some getting used to no doubt about it but you will have THE best protection money can buy. I can't compare to the Tech 10's because I haven't worn those. The Klim helmet Brian recommended is fantastic as well.

Brian and Atomic Moto are the best!

Highly recommend Brian and Atomic Moto! Brian spent a ton of time on the phone with me gathering the info he needed to guide me in getting the best boots for me. Ended up with these Gaerne SG12’s and I couldn’t be happier. I have been recommending Atomic Moto to all my riding buddies and I am (almost) looking forward to the next time I need to buy some boots, it will definitely be from Atomic!

Gaerne SG-12 Boots

This was for my Grandson Birthday and it just what he needed. He had several
places he needed these boots for. Work - Motor Cycle - Plays Drums in Group
and he will wear them on stage Drumming. These are great for the snow when
he does his work in mountains. He works for the state and sent places that these boots are rugged to withhold his support. Great quality and high level.
