KTM 500 EXC Enduro Engineering Skid Plate Install Tip
While servicing our Gen 1 KTM 500 EXC (2012 - 2016 model years), we found some "challenges" installing the excellent Enduro Engineering skid plate.
Specifically, the PITA front mounting bracket is very tricky to get into place. On the plus side, we discovered it has excellent garage aerodynamics. Anyway, after a few R+Rs, we figured out an install cheat, and made a video for others who do not want to ding their file cabinets. Super short, hope it helps.
The EE skid plate is VERY sturdy aluminum, and has a lot of wrap coverage for the engine cases. We do not sell this model skid plate, but highly recommend it.
Side note, we had ours powdercoated black.
