My last boots Sidi Vortice and as great of a specimen as they are were always a bit tight. It felt that it got worse over time, I degrees. The Forma easily match the protect of the sidi. Plus SOOO much quicker to put on and less to do for a secure/protected feel. Circulation is Fantastic, even on a hot day my tootsies came out dry. The sole air pump definitely works great. The width is much better with my toes and width of my foot screaming with joy. The only short coming was breaking them in. It took a few times of riding with them, yet each time was noticeably improved. The part of the boot at the hinge was pretty tight at 1st and only noticed it when walking. While riding I forgot the hinge. I am glad I switched to Forma!
I got to try my new Forma Ice Pro boots this weekend at Putnam Park, Indiana.
What a relief from my old Alpine Stars!
I have wide feet and the Alpine Stars have been crushing my toes for years.
With the help of Brian and his recommendations, I ended up with a Euro size 44 Forma boot.
With his knowledge of boots he guided me to a product that had more toe space than other brands.
He also recommended going up one size from what I normally would get.
The result is that I now have a boot that is as comfortable as slippers, and easier to put on.
They felt great right from the start, no problems of any kind!
Can't thank Brian enough and will go to Atomic Moto for all my boot needs; road race, dirt or otherwise!
These are the best boots I have ever had on my feet while riding.
They fit great, and look great.
I will only wear Forma boots from now on and I will only buy my boots from Atomic Moto.
Got these to replace Sidi Adv 2. The added protection can be seen and felt upon taking them out of the box and even more so when putting them on. The memory foam that firmly encases the ankle combined with the solid outer boot and hinge should keep the ankle as safe as possible. The stiff sole and firm but low-profile toe box will keep the foot from getting smashed. Despite having the feel of a ski boot, the SG-12 is absolutely walkable.
Should have bought them to begin with instead of seeking a compromise in the Sidi Adv 2.
I’m a 10 1/2 US in running shoes and 11 fit perfectly in both the SG-12 and Adv 2.
Thanks Brian, for taking the time to explain the differences and shipping these out very quickly. Looking forward to years or riding in them!!
With the help of Brian who called me on a Saturday morning helped with my decision. I had a couple boots in mind and these were on my short list. They showed up and I tried them on and they’re very comfortable and flex nice while walking. I think this boot offers the best blend of comfort, protection and value. I’m going to be very happy with them. They’re almost to nice looking to wear but I’m going to.
While dealing with Brian on this purchase it became obvious I was dealing with a highly knowledgeable, old school motorcycle guy. It reminded me of the guys I would talk with 30 years ago who knew the products, all the products. Tell him what you want and he'll tell you what you need. And it will likely be just that. There's value in this service. The SG12's are a heavy duty boot. To the point I was asking myself " do I need this much protection?" After breaking my leg at the ankle waring my old boots the answer was clearly yes. There are going to take some getting used to no doubt about it but you will have THE best protection money can buy. I can't compare to the Tech 10's because I haven't worn those. The Klim helmet Brian recommended is fantastic as well.
Brian suggested this helmet for the large opening, light weight and ventilation. It performed as advertised. Did my first race with it and had no issues. I didn't even notice it and that's what I want
