Haven’t had a chance to take these riding yet but when I received them I was really impressed. These are good looking boots. After trying them on and walking around in them, very comfortable as well. They are very stiff around the ankle but surprisingly easy to walk in with the double joint. Only time will tell if they hold up but I have no reason to think that they won’t.
When I first got these, they had some hot spots so I took em to the local ski shop for a fitting. $20 later they're literally custom fit for my feet.
Took em riding like an absolute idiot later that day. My feet, ankles, and shins were the only parts of me that didn't hurt at the end of the ride. Field tested the over-extension protection when I caught my toe and my foot pivoted on the peg. Tested impact protection on feet & shins eating lose stones when I was following.
Surprisingly water resistant as well, went through more than one puddle - pants sprayed but feet stayed dry until it started raining on the way home.
These are my first set of big-boy off road boots, so I don't have much to compare them against, but I'm very happy with the purchase, and feel much much much more protected than when I wear my Adventures.
as another review said Brian at atomic is great. Called twice to make sure of order details. On his advise Ordered a size 10 with is what I wear in Garne SG12. These fit tighter. I would say I'm a larger size 10. But an 11 would probly b too big. Nice and snug, feel broken in as soon as u put them on. They are tight around knee brace. I wear leatt x brace. Made a slight modification to shin guard and they are perfect,
Great boots and awesome service from atomic. Very impressed with the Forma predator 2.0s.
I have several sets of Forma boots. The quality, fit and features are excellent. These Predators at $339 are $200 less than compatible boots and in many ways better than those other boots regardless. I also own the water proof Forma Terra boots and they have become my go to boot for wet PNW riding. Forma'sare top of the line boots and Atomic is a great company to work with. Win/win.
Its still too early to get out on the bike here in New England but i can review the fit and quality of the boots. I was concerned about the sole being too smooth for adv riding but i don't expect any problems now that i have seen them in person and had the boots on. I have wide feet and i find them comfortable;
I normally wear 10 EE so after discussing with Brian we landed on a 45 which was great as it was slightly big on me and allowed me to get better insoles to get the fit just right. The quality of the boot is first rate and I can't say enough about the buying experience. Brian returned emails quickly and we talked on the phone twice. He took the time to ask about what i rode, where i rode etc and suggested several boots that i was able to research and consider before i made the decision to purchase the X-Power boots. I'll definitely be buying from Atomic Moto in the future!
Love them; need size 10, ordered 9; run slightly smaller. Was told I couldn’t return them, but not sure why…
Boots are awesome. Confidence inspiring. It is taking some adjustment for shifting and rear braking but not a big deal. Taking a bit for break-in but better every time I put them on. Brian’s advice was spot for me. I am no pro but with these boots I feel much more connected to the bike! Best price I found and arrive on time as promised.
I bought these boots because they are real leather with a stitched on sole . I bought them from atomic moto because I bought a set from them several years ago and had a good experience. With this pair Brian really work with me over the phone with photos and video of my foot . In an effort to get the correct size the first time. From just trying these on he did it. I'd like to ride with them but that just has not happened yet. They look great and feel good walking around the house.
It was a pleasure purchasing these from Atomic moto. Great boots, great advice and great price.
